This is my first step in this project, and will be using an iOS application called PolyCam. In the future I hope to get access to ARKit, the iPhone Developer kit for the LIDAR sensor on the back of the iPhone and utilize that to create even more accurate mappings.
I plan on creating models through these means for designs that would be rather difficult, and would require more printing time and materials, and more of my time. Hopefully I can shave off the first few iterations with a properly scanned LIDAR generated image of the object, and designing around that.
