This will be a series of projects in which I will be learning and applying my existing knowledge to learn how to operate and manage Juniper network devices, in addition to general networking.

Project 1: Setting up SNMP with a Solarwind server to get live status feeds of my switch.

This project went pretty well, I found This https://youtu.be/Vz63p2IFNWI great video which showed me how to set up my SNMP client on my Juniper switch and set up a Solarwinds server so that they can talk to each other to provide relevant data remotely.

Project 2: Buildng a Cacti server for SNMP monitoring and more
TBA – I’ll be working on it once my boss has outlined more of what we will be doing with Cacti.
