This is my first time growing Basil, and I am using the Edn SmartGarden pods that were included with my unit. They contain several seeds as well as nutrients built into the planting medium ‘soil’. I expect these to do well without much care, but I will be watching to see which seeds germinate and potentially transfer them if overcrowding occurs.

9/29/23 Update

After having grown basil for 2 months now, I have a much better understanding of the basic of growing hydroponic plants and ensuring optimal conditions.

I don’t have much of a use for that much basil, so I am instead looking to plant more types of lettuce so I can continue increasing my salad yield while keeping costs (electricity) the same. Seeds are super cheap, so this isn’t much of an added expense.
